Enable Exchange Calendar sync
TimeTracker can automatically populate employees’ timesheet with their meetings from Microsoft Exchange Outlook calendar. The configuration has two parts: one in Microsoft Exchange and one in TimeTracker.
You'll need to setup an Exchange Delegate. (Click here to learn about setting up the Delegate process in Exchange Outlook.)
- Create a TimeTracker User Account in Exchange
Create a new user within Microsoft Exchange for TimeTracker to use. Those login credentials will later be entered in the TimeTracker Administration console.
- Assign Delegate Privileges
Have your Exchange administrator assign this user read-only delegate access for each user in your organization that you want to have the ability to use Exchange calendar syncing.
- Inform Employees
Let your users know that you have enabled Exchange calendar syncing for their accounts and that they can toggle it off via their TimeTracker Account Settings.
After enabling Exchange Calendar sync, you must enter a valid Host, Username and Password of the Exchange User Account that was assigned the Delegate privileges. Often this is a new “TimeTracker” user created within a company’s Exchange Server.
Google Calendar Sync
Note: TimeTracker can also automatically populate timesheets with meetings from Google Calendar; however, the Google Calendar configuration is performed per employee (from their User Settings panel).
